Marinette Window Track
Information
(Side Windows)
Two different
kinds of window track were used on Marinette's over the years.
Boats
from 1960 to 1985 -
Marinette's during these years used a white plastic triple channel window
track. There were 2 channels for the
glass and a wider track for the screens.
In late 1985 and early 1986 a black version of the plastic track was
used on boats with tinted windows. Over
time due to exposure to sunlight the plastic window track becomes brittle,
cracks and needs to be replaced.
Marinette Yachts stocks replacement plastic window track as well as an
aluminum version of the plastic window track to eliminate the need for future
replacement.
Boats
from 1986 to 1992 -
Marinette's during these years used an aluminum triple channel window
track. The aluminum window track has a
plastic liner in the bottom tracks for the glass and screens to slide on. Over time the plastic liners break and need to
be replace. The plastic material is
called Pollyglide and is available through Marinette Yachts.
